Creative Casting Training Courses - learn from our experience

Why not spend a day with Julie & Jo learning the techniques & methods employed by them when casting baby's hands & feet? We offer one day training courses for £235 at our workshop where you can learn how to get the best results using alginate as a moulding medium for making 3D lifecasts of baby hands & feet.

Key features of the course include:

• 'Hands On' experience with a baby model giving you guided practice at moulding
• Different moulding materials & their uses
• Plaster types & pouring techniques
• Finishing plaster casts ready for display
• Creating plaster outprints/impressions as an alternative finished product
• Using box frames for display
• Health & Safety issues

You will take away with you:

• Full set of course notes with support available by phone after the training for 1 month.
• Over £40 worth of materials including moulding & casting powders, mixing equipment, paint & a display frame so you can make up your first sample.
• All baby casts you have created during the day's training from our baby model.

Saturday classes are limited to a maximum of 3 people to allow everyone chance to take moulds from our baby model & also to allow plenty of time for 1-to-1 questions. The course runs from 10am to 4pm & lunch is included. Weekday classes are limited to 2 people & run from 9.30 to 2.30pm with an working lunch in order to complete the training in time. These training sessions are very 'hands-on' & are often run in an active workshop environment - an apron is recommended!

You can book your place on a course by paying a non-refundable £95 deposit from the table below. We will contact you to confirm your booking within 24 hours paying your deposit. The balance of £140 is due on the day of training.

Become an Approved Caster & benefit from the Creative Casting Brand

Would you be interested in becoming an approved Creative Casting Caster? We are currently recruiting casters across the country to carry out 3D casting sessions on our behalf in your local area. The scheme is available to those who have attended our training sessions & provided proof through samples & interview that they are competent & suitable to represent Creative Casting.

If you wish to become an Approved Creative Caster there is a single yearly fee of £95 - no commision structure or ongoing monthly costs at all.  This payment would be due annually & for this we offer:

• Samples of the frames, mounts & finishes you would be required to offer on our behalf.
• Referrals from direct client enquiries in your area.
• Ongoing support & advice for your casting needs.
• No minimum wholesale spend & a priority wholesale service.
• Casting opportunities at shows & events where possible.
• Creative Casting branded artwork & images for you to adapt & use for your own marketing.
• The option to offer bronze & cold cast finishes, clay imprints & silver fingerprint/baby print jewellery as upsell opportunities with your clients.

In return we ask you to make the following commitments:

• To only use the Creative Casting frames & finishes in your casting.
• To buy all your casting materials from Creative Casting at their highly competitive prices.
• Accept that we will carry out regular checks on your work - from checking finished pieces to contacting clients directly.
• Accept that failure to offer a competent service may lead to immediate cancellation of your Approved Caster status.
• Accept that reasonable limits may be put in place regarding the amount of materials purchased & time given to business & casting support if these services are abused.
• To not sell any Creative Casting products or materials through any third parties such as shops (other than your own), Ebay, wholesale or ecommerce sites.
